Australia Koala has a difficult rescue

As a child my sister and i spent our days playing...in what seemed like a magical forest. Our house in the country had no neighbours accept the wild animals who lived in the beautiful forest which stretched out as far as the eye could see behind our home.  Being that we were secluded from playing with other children, on weekends  we would throw a "survival pack" over our shoulders and head for the forest and disappear trying to make friends with the animals until dark. I remember all those beautiful animals...the cheeky fox...the graceful hooping crane standing proudly in the river...the dashing deer...the mysterious wolf, etc. Those were peaceful happy memories that still tug at my heart. Sometimes i would get lost in the deep forest on purpose as i found it adventurous.   However, i always knew that once i came across the River and followed it North that would lead me home.

Looking back, Mother nature taught me a lot. The self discovery  found in that forest gave me a confidence that later led to my many past achievements and goals in my sports career.

We eventually moved to Caledonia, a town a few miles down the hwy.  Our new back yard was no longer that magical forest with animals running wild, instead it was replaced with children running wild....playing on the streets. As exciting as it was to have human friends i was missing and yearning my animal friends.

Over the years as we drove past the house, I began to see trucks moving in on the land. After that, i saw that magical forest  slowly slip away and disappear as the development took over. It was sad to think of what became of my forest friends and where they would go? It shaped my views on our world...and the need to be gentle with nature.

Taiji floats plan to create whale zoo | The Japan Times Online

Friends of Michael Q Todd

Michael Q Todd is well know in the Socail Media World for his generosity of spirit and his genuine desire to help eveyone who reaches out to ask for his guidance.  His positive attitude and energy are infectious.

I have personally known MQ as I affectionatly call him for almost 3 years.  We have worled  together for 18 months on a Dolphins Love Us Campaign to bring awareness to the horrors that dolphins and small whales suffer in Taiji, Japan at the infamous Killing Cove.

Michael was visiting Taiji Japan, on Sunday September 16th, where the infamous killing cove is located where thousands of dolphins and whales are brutally captured and slaughtered every year.

Michael was in Taiji on a campaign . The campaign hired Michael as the core Japanese interpreter for a Canadian documentary. He was asked to produce his passport.  He is in Japan on a Visa and it has run out. He was arrested and has been remanded to a Detention Centre until his case is heard.

Michael is a causality in the hyper-police atmosphere making up Taiji, Wakayama for the dolphin hunt from Sept to March every year.

Michael is in the process of trying to get his visa extended and because the paper work has been misplaced by the Japanese Government and he had no documents, the police arrested him on Sunday Morning,

What We Need & What You Get

He is currently being held in a Detention Centre and urgently needs financial assistance to hire a lawyer in Japan . Without a lawyer, no one can speak to him for the next 18 days.

We believe that his case will be decided within the next 10 days.

If Michael is deported then he will need finances to pay for where-ever country he heads to.  If he is deported then he will not be able to apply to return to Japan for 7 years.  Michael has met the love of his life in Japan, he has roots there as well, other family members.

The estimate for costs is hard to really determine but we will aim for around $10,000. US

This is simple.  Any amount that you can donate to help MQ will truly help him.

The funds raised thru this campaign will go directly to assisting the legal fees the Michael will require, any overages will be donated to the campaign that we have been working on for almost 2 years ..saving the dolphins in Taiji, Japan

The Impact

Any amount that you can donate to help MQ will truly help him.

Other Ways You Can Help

Some people just can’t contribute, but that doesn’t mean they can’t help:

  • Ask folks to get the word out and make some noise about your campaign.
  • Remind them to use the Indiegogo share tools!

And that’s all there is to it.

Japan Escalates Politically Motivated Attacks Upon Eco-Hero Captain Paul Watson and Sea Shepherd

Interpol Issues Second ‘Red Notice’ for Sea Shepherd Founder and Renowned Marine Conservationist
Captain Paul Watson
Captain Paul Watson
FRIDAY HARBOR, Wash. — September 16, 2012 — Interpol reports it has issued a second ‘red notice’ to its member nations for Captain Paul Watson — iconic marine conservationist and founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and focus of the hit docu-reality TV series “Whale Wars.” This notice was issued at Japan’s request and was clearly filed in retribution for the eco-hero and his nonprofit’s successful interventions against Japanese whaling in an established, internationally designated whale sanctuary.

We are about to die and we need your help please..

Jus getting ready to go down to the cove, Weather has been bad through the night but it has stopped raining now. Hate the feeling I have in my stomach, dreading today. Watching people laugh and tell each other jokes as a family of beautiful animals is put to the sword is too hard to take.... I feel physically sick about it. All my work with animals over decades still doesn't prepare you for what is about to happen. Wish I could get a cuddle from my beautiful wife and lay with Pickle to get some strength. This day is evil.....
Stay strong everyone x

He kept looking at me and I kept telling him what a
wonderful animal he was, I wanted to gather them up
and push them back out to sea. I felt so useless again... — at Planet Japan.

Today was horrible

Tomorrow in this land that time forgot will be a bloodbath in the shadow of Auschwitz (whale museum) screams will ring out of the cove and the world will have to listen to them because they must affect every soul on this planet. Everybody has to know what is happening here or these animals die in the dark alone..... Never think that your calls and faxes, e-mails fall on deaf ears, they don't! we can stop this but we have to be united......... we cannot cut nets, blow up boats or bang drums but we can speak for the animals because boy do they need us to talk now!

These are activities from the 10th and 11th of September, Taiji. Japan.
in all, around 39 bottlenose dolphins were involved.
Some went into captivity, others were driven back to sea
and the remaining 30 are in the cove this day of the
of September as I write this. Please share far and wide,
don't just click like. If you want to help the dolphins
we have to be proactive. You are the voice of the voiceless.

Difficult day today for the dolphins left...
Martyn Stewart 3:54pm Sep 10
Difficult day today for the dolphins left overnight in the cove. Who
knows their fate! Just off out now to be there, 04:52am.
Whatever happens is a bad day for the pod that had its life and family stripped from them in the most awful circumstances. Please make

sure today you keep hitting these embassies and consulates with your messages. Together we can be the voice of the helpless.
Horrible day for the dolphins. Two separate pods were driven in. One into the cove where they still remain, another netted off shore after a 6 hour fight. Some from there were then taken to the cove others were let go. I can't even begin to comprehend everything that happened today and what those poor dolphins have gone through.......

Rare Dolphin Ritual Captured on Film

Pilot Whales Being Slaughtered Today

The pilot whales captured offshore Taiji yesterday
are now being murdered in the killing cove.
Access to document the brutality has been cut off
since the Mayor of Taiji barricaded a tsunami evacuation zone
known as "Tsunami Hill" which was our last vantage point
of seeing inside the killing cove.
However, people on the street can hear the pilot whales screaming
as they're being pulled to the shallows and stabbed.
We have a loooong day and night ahead of us but it's
nothing compared to what the pilot whales in the cove
will be going through. Breaks my heart

With a baby pilot whale in the Cove confirmed, our next step is clear. Please call any Japanese outlet and demand that at least the baby and
his mother be saved. Killing a baby even in a hunt is murder.
At the Taiji Cove, there has been a capture of pilot whales with a baby among them. I'm not sure on numbers just yet. They will be held at least until tomorrow, when potential buyers from aquariums will come to inspect them. If, after up to five days, no sale offers are made, the whales will be killed for meat. Toxic meat.
